The Peugeot RCZ was a sporty model that got a lot of enthusiasts, and although to this day it still looks like a current car and nothing outdated, unfortunately did not get the commercial success expected by the PSA Group. Therefore, the French decided to focus their efforts on those vehicles that account for the largest number of sales and not develop a successor to the Peugeot sports coupe.Even so, Russian designer Nikita Aksyonov wondered what a new generation of Peugeot RCZ might look like. The line would be the same, with well-marked wheel arches and a descending ceiling line that would feature its characteristic double-bubble shape – this in the closed version. The biggest novelty would be the headlights, which would follow the line of the latest models of production of the lion brand, where the design created by LED lights would be his new sign of identity. Also the grid, with its three-dimensional shape, would be one of the differentiated points in relation to the previous model. There would be no lack of aerodynamic appendages on the front, side and rear, as well as the large alloy wheels. To move this car, the ideal configuration for the Peugeot 308 R Hybrid Concept could be used  , a 1.6 THP 270 hp 330 Nm engine combined with two electric motors, one on each axle and delivering 115 hp each, to produce together 500 hp and 730 Nm, which would allow an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 seconds.

The new Peugeot Rifter replaces the old Peugeot Partner, and on that occasion takes on an SUV inspiration to define its more robust and youthful appearance. The Peugeot Rifter has the Advanced Grip Control system, which optimizes the traction for different types of tread, and we already know of other models of the French manufacturer and also the Hill Assist Descent Control, known system of models like the Peugeot 3008, and that maintains an optimized speed on steep descents. But the big news is an all-wheel drive version, called the 4 × 4 Rifter, for now still a concept. The development of this version was a joint effort with Peugeot’s longtime partner, Dangel – a company that is dedicated to transforming Peugeot models, adding full-wheel drive and off-road capabilities. The Peugeot Rifter 4 × 4 Concept features four BF Goodrich AllTerrain all-terrain tires, which allow for better progression on more damaged or slippery terrain. It also stands out for the greater height of the ground, higher in 80 mm, as well as for the wheels paved by the specific tires. The concept, which will be presented at the next Geneva Motor Show, is also highlighted by several details in strong yellow, in contrast to the matte black of the hood, as well as by the signature ‘RIFTER’ on the side and rear window.

The different colors and materials extend to the interior, with specific seats with black Alcantara, seams in the same yellow tone, and some more details.Equipping this version is the BlueHDi 130 hp engine, with six-speed manual transmission and a maximum torque of 300 Nm.The 4 × 4 transmission is activated via a viscous coupling system, operated by a hand-held selector switch on the dashboard to the right of the gearbox lever, and with three driving modes – ‘2WD’, ‘4WD ‘and’ Lock ‘. The first allows only a traction on the front axle for day-to-day running, while the second one tries to send power to the rear wheels, when necessary, and automatically. Of course the ‘Lock’ mode blocks the traction on all four wheels for more extreme situations of obstacle transposition.Far from the cities, the Peugeot Rifter 4 × 4 Concept may feature a range of LED lights on the top of the windshield. Curved and with a width of 1.35 m, it integrates an alignment of 100 LEDs, divided by two rows.In addition, the Rifter 4 × 4 Concept is also equipped with an Overland camping tent, developed by Autohome, with mattress covered with the same foldable textile to easily integrate into the volume of the tent. The Peugeot Rifter 4 × 4 Concept also features the BTT Peugeot eM02 FS Powertube, an electric bike with an integrated battery, being the first of the brand’s new generation of eBikes.
